El edificio de la primera escuela fue inaugurado en el año 1914 y fue construido con chapa y madera. En el frente tenía un escudo de chapa con el nombre de Escuela Nacional Número 28. Algunas maestras/os y directores/as de esa época fueron Serafina Blanca de Gómez, Gartland, Asunción Cobo, Sucunza y el maestro Ezcurra. En la década del 60 se construyó la actual escuela primaria y secundaria. Habitaron este espacio las familias Bengoa, Perales, Barrientos y desde la década de los 90 la familia Gandon-Bellazzi quienes crearon la Fundación WEF, dedicada al rescate, concientización, educación e investigación de fauna marina.

In 1914 the first school was inaugurated. Built with metal sheet and wood. On the front it had a metal sheet shield with the name National School Number 28. In the 60s the new primary and secondary school was built.
CASA DE USO FAMILIAR
Vivienda característica de principios de 1900, de uso familiar y asociada a la actividad salinera. Su fachada aún se conserva, reflejando la construcción típica de la época con materiales (chapa y madera) que eran traídos en barco. La habitaron la familia Medina. En la vereda funcionó el primer y único despacho de combustible a cargo de la familia Gabilondo y más tarde Palleres.
FAMILY HOME
Family home from the early 1900s, associated with the salt mining activity. The front is still preserved, reflecting the typical construction of the time with materials (metal sheet and wood) that were brought by boat from Europe. When the dunes did not exist, from its rear windows you could see the sea. In front of the house and on the sidewalk stood the only fuel dispenser. It was worked by the Gabilondo family and later the Palleres family.
